Long before iWatches and smart phones, people used sundials to tell the time. In this hands-on activity, students will turn themselves into a large sundial. During the Human Sundial activity, which is ideal for grades 5-7, students will learn how light and shadows can be a source of information.
By the end of the activity students should be able to:
- Understand the movement of objects in the sky (such as stars and planets) is predictable
